Once the processing got a little funny on this slide, I took it to the extreme for the effect.

There are lots of advantages to shooting digital, but there are definitely things lost versus film. I don’t think I’d ever really go back to film full time, it’s just too convenient. Still, when uploading some slides I scanned from five years ago I came across some like this one with a subtlety of tone that even in a scan seems to outdo what I see from most digital SLRs. Sometimes I miss that nice natural smoothness and sharpness in the right areas that can only be achieved digitally with great post processing.
